The Story Seeker
I am an experienced story teller, a member of the Society for Storytellers, a voice artist with 20 years+ experience and I run after School Drama Clubs for children (www.dramallamaclub.com) along with a Post Grad in Performance Arts from Birkbeck University, I am extremely well placed to bring you exciting, engaging story telling sessions and help develop a life-long love of stories.
I entertain with huge range of stories from across worlds and throughout history, tailoring tales to suit your curriculum or event and telling yarns that inspire listeners’ imaginations. Through workshops, I can inspire and encourage children to create their own stories and to embody stories through activity and song, using the traditional principles of oracy.
My fees are £150 half day or £250 full day.
Let me tell you a story…..

“Beverley was a joy to work with. From the initial discussions about content I knew I had made the right choice choosing Beverley, she tailored a session for each year group based on their current topics and really went above and beyond, even learning some new stories just for us! My EYFS class were mesmerised during Beverley's performances, there was just the right amount of storytelling and movement to keep them hooked from the start right to the end. I look forward to being able to host Beverley at our school again in the future!” Bethan, EYFS teacher, East Farleigh Primary School, Maidstone, Kent
“To support our International Day, Beverley shared a 45 minute Indian Saga with our year 9 girls at five different sessions throughout the day. The story was engaging, soaring and the teachers and the children all enjoyed the sessions immensely.” Laura Vass, Head of English, Simon Langton Girls’ Grammar School, Canterbury, Kent
“Bev was engaging, energetic and the children loved her storytelling sessions. She was able to take our termly topics and tell a linked story by heart with real energy and theatrical magic - a real performance. The children were captivated and could remember details that would have ordinarily washed over them unnoticed. Thank you for an amazing block of sessions, the children often ask if OUR storyteller is coming again soon.” Mike Collis, Assistant Headteacher + Reading Lead, St Margaret’s Infant School, Rainham, Kent
